Honoring the Wisdom of Our Elders!
The IAIA Center for Lifelong Education, Santa Clara Pueblo Seniors Program, ENIPC Senior Services and ENIPC Peacekeepers are pleased to present the 4th Annual Tribal Elders Awareness Conference. Open to all tribal elders and tribal leaders, breakout sessions will cover topics such as computer literacy, elder benefits domestic violence against Native American women, and health and wellness issues.
Nearly 300 elders from NM tribes are planning to attend to see special guests including Joe Garcia, Chairman of All Indian Pueblo Council and President of the National Congress of Americans Indians, and Alvin Warren, Secretary, NM Indian Affairs Department.
Entertainment, art-making and door prizes add to the fun of this day-long event.
